Our skin expert and Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Ari Kasprowicz is proud to now offer PRP Facials. Treat yourself to the latest regenerative facial and transform your skin from dull and tired, to vibrant, youthful and glowing. The PRP facial is an incredible anti-aging treatment, as well as extremely beneficial for acne breakouts and scars.
How it works
The PRP facial uses a microneedling device which creates many tiny porous channels in the skin – activating your body’s own healing mechanisms to lay down new healthy collagen and elastin. Blood is taken from you, the patient, and the platelet rich plasma (PRP) is extracted by a trained medical staff. This portion of your blood is abundant in growth factors and healing enriched cells necessary for proliferation of new tissue. The PRP is applied to the skin during the microneedling process, where it is delivered deep into the dermal layer of the skin.
What to Expect
Immediately after your procedure, your face will contain a slight amount of blood and may appear “sunburned” for 24-72 hours. After 2-3 days, the outer layer of your skin will start to peel. Similar to a chemical peel, this procedure allows for the removal of old dead cells and reveals fresh glowing new skin beneath. The best results, however, are yet to come! The effects of this procedure take place over the next 2-3 months as your body lays down new tissue.
You can expect to see a brighter more even complexion, smaller pores, reduced hyperpigmentation and dark spots, and minimized fine lines. For those coming in for the treatment of acne, you should see a reduced lesion number and severity, as well as diminished scarring.
Recommended Number of Treatments
The number of recommended treatments will vary for each individual, based on current skin condition, desired results, and healing response. For most patients who are using it as a preventative anti-aging measure, we recommend 1 treatment every 6-8 months. For those utilizing the facial for acne treatment, we recommend a minimum of 3 facials separated by 4-6 weeks with a follow up as needed.
Filler Options Available
PRP can also be used as filler to fill deep lines and contour the face. Unlike other fillers, the effects of PRP develop over time, leaving you with a much more natural youthful appearance. PRP filler can be used for the following:

PRP for Hair Loss
Hair loss can be a traumatic experience for both men and women. Androgenic Alopecia, hair loss due to male hormones, is typically genetic, and remains the most common hair disorder without satisfactory treatment. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy has emerged as the newest non-surgical treatment modality in regenerative medicine, showing extremely promising results for those suffering from male pattern baldness and female pattern hair loss.
How it works
Much like the PRP Facial, PRP used for hair regrowth involves the use of the PRP portion of the blood as the healing medium and needle and/or microneedling device as the delivery method. Growth factors from the platelets act on stem cells within the scalp to stimulate the development of new follicles, promote formation of new blood vessels to enhance local blood flow, and prolong the anagen (growth) phase of the hair follicle.
What to Expect
Response to treatment is variable in each individual; however, results typically begin to be apparent by six months. You may begin to notice a reduction in hair loss and growth of new hairs as early as one month.
Recommended number of treatments
We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments separated by 4-6 weeks with an annual follow up as needed.
