Acupuncture and Massage

Acupuncture for:

Acupuncture is a Chinese system of health over 2000 years old. The idea behind acupuncture is that energy, also known as qi, flows throughout channels in the body called meridians. These points are located where nerves enter the muscle, at the belly of the muscle and where muscle meets bone. When a proper diagnosis and combination of points are chosen it balances the Qi and life force in the body and restores health. These points are known to stimulate the release of endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals. Acupuncture is also known to affect the functioning of the endocrine system to help balance hormone levels, increase circulation in the body, provide relief from pain and reduce inflammation.

My Style:
Massage sessions can be relaxing or active depending on each person’s goals with the treatment. Sessions will often blend different modalities to achieve maximum circulation, increase range of motion, and reduce stress and muscle tension.

Massage treatments can include cupping, gua sha, and essential oils to enhance the healing process. Circulatory massage can help move stuck energy and invigorate you. Deep tissue is useful for pain and adhesions in specific areas. PNF can lengthen and stretch tight muscles and ligaments, helping to prevent future problems across the body. Passive joint movement is useful in arthritis and for increasing range of motion where mobility is decreased. Many of my stretching therapies are also informed by yoga and structural theories. And ask about CBD cream for pain, muscle ache, topical relief, and enhancing results.
