Dr. Ari Kasprowicz-Calhoun ND
Dr. Ari Calhoun is a Naturopathic Doctor and Institute of Functional Medicine trained Practitioner who is passionate about helping her clients achieve an optimal state of health. With a background in clinical research, she blends the wisdom of ancient medicine with the cutting-edge knowledge gained from modern science. She feels strongly that each of her patients is a unique complex being requiring an individualized comprehensive approach in order to facilitate healing. Dr. Calhoun sees her role as a guide, rather than a dictator, and enjoys working closely with you and your family throughout your healing journey, providing education along the way.
Dr. Ari Calhoun earned her Naturopathic Medical Degree from Bastyr University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with degrees in Exercise Science and Clinical Nutrition. Her interest in comprehensive health care developed at a young age when she developed her own autoimmune disorder. She immersed herself in her studies and latest research concerning chronic disease, all of which further supported the use of time-tested natural modalities of healing.
Dr. Calhoun is particularly passionate about helping children who are suffering from complex-chronic disease, as we are seeing a drastic increase in serious health disorders in the pediatric population. Within this population, she has a special clinical focus in neurodevelopmental and immune system disorders, including the Autism spectrum and Asperger’s. Additionally, she feels strongly about encouraging conscious preconception practices to reduce toxin load and optimize nutrient stores in order to promote healthy neurodevelopment and immune systems from the very start of life.
Dr. Calhoun has always been passionate about pursuing a healthy active lifestyle, and believes that nature and quality time with loved ones is the best medicine of all. In her free time, she enjoys being active in the great outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, spending time with God, and laughing with those she loves most.
Dr. Calhoun is available for appointments Monday, Friday and Saturday weekly.
